The winners were celebrated at an exclusive event, held at The Quarry in Wakefield, which the Chamber hopes will be the first of many.

Managing director of the Chamber, Martin Hathaway, said: “I am delighted to celebrate our members and hope that this is the first of many annual awards where we can truly showcase the best and brightest businesses in our region.

“I would like to extend my thanks to all those involved with organising the awards, from the team at The Quarry through to our judges – this would not have been possible without their input.

“We are looking forward to the 2023 awards and hope to expand our programme in the coming years to highlight the Halifax, Huddersfield and Wakefield regions as the places to do business in the UK.”

Sitting on the judging panel were:

  • Stephen Moore, city manager at City Fibre
  • Caroline Wilson, partnership manager for Leeds City Region at Enterprise Growth Solutions
  • Mark Evans, owner of Better Telecoms Ltd
  • Melissa Roberts, founder and managing director of Beanie Media
