Huddersfield BID (Business Improvement District) are running their interactive Easter Egg trail for a third time. Ten giant easter eggs have been individually painted by creative design and display agency, The Wonderworks, and will be hidden in shops around Huddersfield Town Centre for people to find.
The event will run between the 3rd – 17th April and participants can take part by downloading the Loyal Free app, which will show them where each egg is hidden. At every location, a QR code will be placed near the egg, which participants can scan to mark the egg as found on their app.
Everyone who finds all 10 eggs through the app, will be entered into a prize draw to win £50, and all participants who complete the easter egg hunt will win an easter egg, which can be collected from Huddersfield BID’s office on Market Avenue.
Huddersfield BID have been working hard since 2020 to create a great business and cultural offering to the town. Once of the objectives is to encourage growth, development and investment of businesses and organisations which support the development of Huddersfield’s identity.
Joe Lawson, Chair of Huddersfield BID said:
“The easter egg trail aims to encourage further footfall into the town centre and make it a hot spot for easter holiday fun, so that businesses in the town centre can feel the benefits. One of our key aims is to make Huddersfield a safe and attractive place to be and by running trails and events such as the Easter Egg Trail, the town benefits from footfall and families can enjoy days out for free. We can’t wait to welcome people to our Easter Egg Trail”
BID Manager Sam Sharp adds:
“Loyal Free have published figures from working with other national business improvement districts on similar activities. They reported from their data that 82.3% of groups visit other businesses on the trail route and the average number of businesses visited by a group on and off trail is thirteen. An astonishing 5% visit more than ten other businesses than those on the trail routes and 98.7% spend money when taking part in a trail.”
