Huddersfield Unlimited’s 5th Annual Conference – Delivering Development in Huddersfield
Our 5th annual conference is taking place on October 22nd, and to mark the occasion and the incredible growth our town has experienced over the last 5 years, we are rebranding our conference and making it bigger and better than ever. Welcome to HUDNEXT2026….
The purpose of this year’s event, sponsored by HTAFC, is twofold: First, to reflect on and celebrate the development taking place in our town, from the Transpennine Route Upgrade, Kirklees Council’s Cultural Heart, the University of Huddersfield’s National Health Innovation Campus, and many, many more. Furthermore, we want to show the world that the time to invest here is now. Celebrating success and investing in the future.
Guests will hear from:

- Minister of State for the Future of Work, Kate Dearden (MP for Halifax)*
- Kirklees Council Senior Leadership
- David Threlfall-Sykes from HTAFC
- Prof Parik Goswami, Director of Research and Innovation at the University of Huddersfield
- James Richardson from Transpennine Route Upgrade
Following a break for networking, guests will enjoy two panel sessions featuring local business leaders who can speak first hand to the opportunities in our town.
HUDDNEXT2026 will open with registration and refreshments at 12.30pm with the first speakers at 1:30pm. The event will close at around 6pm with refreshments and a further opportunity to network until 7pm.
