Innovation in Textiles Business Forum

Join Huddersfield Unlimited, Camira Fabrics and the Textile Centre for Excellence for our Innovation in Textiles networking event on the 24th September 4pm-6pm.

With a theme of Innovation in Textiles, we will be celebrating Hudderfield’s rich heritage in textiles manufacturing, but more importantly, looking to the future and our town’s leadership in cutting edge textiles innovation. Camira Fabrics are opening their facility to guests to witness first hand how this local brand has become a world-leader.

Camira make all the fabrics for London Underground, including the Elizabeth Line. They are currently also making the fabric for the West Yorkshire Weaver transport network and make the fabric for the Manchester Beeline Network, as well as upholstering the seats in both the Manchester and Co-op Live arenas. They even produced the fabric for the Anointing Screen for the King’s Coronation.

As well as Camira’s senior leadership, guests will also hear from Shahban Aziz, MD of the Textile Centre for Excellence – a local institution celebrating its 50th anniversary, which for decades has championed the textile industry in our town and works tirelessly to ensure that skills, craftsmanship and innovation remain at the core of Huddersfield’s continued success in this field.

The 24th September is also National Manufacturing Day – what better place to be on this day than a world-reknowned manufacturer!

As always, there will be plenty of time to network over refreshments as well. Limited free parking will be available.

Book your ticket today! We look forward to seeing you on the 24th September.
