Cleckheaton based HR, employment law and health and safety consultancy, Howarths, has expanded its support services into business immigration law.
The launch of the new service follows the completion of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) Level 6 Certificate in Immigration Law exam by the Howarths’ head of employment law and business immigration, Charlotte Geesin.
Ms Geesin, who passed the degree-level exam with a Distinction, will now advise businesses on various aspects of immigration law, in particular the employment of individuals that require specific visas to work in the UK.
She said: “With the UK’s impending departure from the EU, many businesses are looking for ongoing, specialised immigration law support to ensure they meet legal requirements for employing staff from around the world.”
Gavin Howarth, managing director at Howarths, added: “In addition to more than ten years’ experience covering disciplinaries, grievances, maternity and family-friendly issues and unlawful discrimination – plus a specialism in redundancy, restructure and TUPE – Charlotte is now well placed to advise clients on all aspects of immigration law.
“We have already had several requests for this type of specialised support, so the decision to bring it in-house and add it to our existing portfolio of employment law services was a natural next step for us.”
Howarths, which was established in 2003 by Andy and Helen Howarth, is a finalist in the Family Business of the Year category at the 2019 Chamber of Commerce Awards.
