Sales boost for pet supplies wholesaler following order portal launch with Huddersfield tech firm
Leading pet and equestrian supplies wholesaler, AR Wholesale, has increased its monthly B2B sales by 15 per cent after investing in an app and web portal with tech firm, Adventoris.
AR Wholesale, which is based in North Yorkshire, has also increased average basket size by up to 10 per cent. The wholesaler was looking for a platform to help maximise its SAP investment after struggling with stock management reporting, order visibility and a lack of functionality around pricing.
The new platform has been created by [Yorkshire] Software as a Service (SaaS) firm, Adventoris, on its flagship SwiftCloud software. SwiftCloud enables clients’ end users to place orders 24/7, browse products, contact the company and access technical information whenever is convenient for them on a fully branded, customised portal. SwiftCloud supports over 220 clients worldwide, including fellow pet brands Classic Pet Products, Harbo and Rolf C Hagen.
David Heaviside, IT manager at AR Wholesale, said:
“Our customers have a lot more confidence in our system since launching with SwiftCloud. The integrations with our SAP ByDesign ERP are incredible. We now benefit from up-to-date stock information, accurate stock volume reports, and more flexibility with pricing and offering discounts. All of these improvements have helped to enhance the customer experience.
“Most of our customers are small independent retailers of pet and equine feed and accessories. Many don’t have retail systems themselves or if they do, they are fairly basic. Having the mobile app allows them to scan items as they walk around the store and place orders directly or, using the online portal, they can add to the orders and then submit digitally.
“Having accurate stock data and pricing helps them to place sales orders quickly and easily. They know that what they have ordered will be in stock for them to receive on the next delivery.”
James Clarkson, CEO and founder of Adventoris, added:
“AR Wholesale’s results reflect exactly what SwiftCloud was built to deliver – true end-to-end digital transformation for B2B wholesalers. By integrating seamlessly with SAP ByDesign, we’ve been able to eliminate the processes that previously caused delays, inaccuracies and customer frustration.
“We’re delighted to support AR Wholesale on their journey and to help deliver greater value from their SAP ecosystem and create a better, quicker, smoother customer ordering journey.”
Adventoris was founded in 2012 by James Clarkson and today houses a team of 50 from its HQ in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, who look after 227 clients, including major brands like STAEDTLER, Tilda Rice and Pipers Crisps.
