Sabih is a 22-year-old recent graduate from the University of Huddersfield, where he studied BA (Hons) Creative Media and Production. While studying, he found himself “drawn not only to creative work but also to stories.” This passion now guides his role at Huddersfield Unlimited, where he helps tell those stories through interviews, blog posts, and reels.

Outside of university life and Huddersfield Unlimited, Sabih also works for a bank. In his spare time, he has been learning Korean for just over two years, which he stated was “a hobby that’s both fun and humbling.”

When asked about why he chose Huddersfield, Sabih explains, “I first came here to study, drawn in by the quieter pace of the town and the strong sense of community.” Now, three years later, “it’s the people, the atmosphere, and local spots that make me want to stick around.” For him, Huddersfield has become “not just a place to study, it’s become a place that feels like home.”

Sabih was attracted to Huddersfield Unlimited because he “loved the idea of being part of something that highlights the town’s businesses and individuals.” He says, “It’s not just about writing, it’s about giving visibility to people doing great things.” Since joining, he’s been able to get involved in interviews, content creation, and blog writing, saying, “I’ve learned so much already.”

Reflecting on his favourite interview so far, Sabih shares, “One of my favourite interviews has been with Sam Teale. He was incredibly positive, welcoming, and genuinely interested in the conversation.” He recalls how “Sam even gave us a tour of his workplace, which made it feel more personal and engaging.” Sabih says, “That’s the kind of energy I love being around.” Watch Sabih’s interview with Same Teale.

When it comes to creative work, Sabih enjoys “being able to convey messages through writing.” He adds, “When I interview people or businesses, my goal is to reflect their passion and bring their words to life for others to connect with.”

Beyond work, one of Sabih’s favourite memories in Huddersfield has been starting the K-Wave Society at university, which is “a space for people who love K-pop and K-dramas to connect.” He also recommends Ai Tea for bubble tea lovers, saying, “They make the best fruit teas in town!”

Looking ahead, Sabih plans to return to university to study a Master’s in Digital Marketing and continue building connections across Huddersfield. He’s “excited to keep learning, growing, and meeting more people doing brilliant things across the area.”
